This 24 hour course provides teacher candidates with methods and strategies for teaching social studies in the Junior and Intermediate classrooms using the Ontario Social Studies Curriculum for grades 4 to 10. Teacher candidates will explore ways to integrate Aboriginal perspectives, diversity. equity, and environmental sustainability into their unit plans and daily classroom practices. (lec/exp 2) cr 2.
