This 24 hour course gives teacher candidates an understanding of strategies and methods for teaching mathematics in the Junior and Intermediate classrooms. Emphasis is placed on the use of materials relating mathematics to the curriculum. Through the study of the Ontario Mathematics Curriculum, teacher candidates will develop appropriate instructional strategies, methods for assessments, and evaluations. (lec/sem 2) cr 2.
