COMM-4486EL – Training and Development

The human resource development function has become a critical element in the organization’s efforts to implement state-of-the-art management practices. The course allows students to acquire a variety of skills related to the human resource development process. Topics include: needs analysis, theories of adult learning, program design and implementation, program evaluation, orientation, career development, and management development. Assignments and projects emphasize skill acquisition, and also provide networking opportunities with organizations in the region. PREREQ: COMM 2045 (min. 60%). (exp 3) cr 3
