COMM-4905EL – Research

Provides an opportunity to learn the research process by means of an individual project and the preparation of a research report. This is useful for students considering further academic work or doing special projects in industry. Specific topics and activities are developed by the student and a faculty member who agrees to supervise the student’s work. For example, a topic can be chosen on the basis of previous work experience, special interest in research techniques, or particular academic interest. In order to make best use of the research course, the student is advised to plan his or her research and contact a faculty member in the spring or early summer of the calendar year in which the research course is to start.
