ENGR-3267EL – Process Dynamics and Control

This course will cover two major topics: process dynamics and process control. The main purpose of this course is to promote the student’s understanding of process behaviour and how such knowledge can be employed for the purposes of efficient operation of the process. The focus of this course will be development of a student’s ability to efficiently formulate dynamic process models, analyze the process dynamic properties and design simple control systems based on these models. Finally, through a series of problem sets, the student will gain exposure to key systems engineering software, including MATLAB and SIMULINK. PREREQ: MATH 2066 and COSC 2836. (lec 3, tut 1, lab 1) cr 3.
