ENGR-3257EL – Pyrometallurgy

Pyrometallurgical processes in the extraction and refining of mainly non-ferrous metals are considered in terms of their physico-chemical principles and technological applications. Topics include: reaction chemistry, phase equilibrium, rate and physical phemonena in: roasting, calcination, reduction and halide treatments of solids; distillation; metal and matte smelting systems; metal and matte fire refining.
