The course requires the student to submit an essay based on independent research. Various forms of research (e.g. survey, interview, secondary analysis of existing data or studies) may be proposed. The work is to be carried out under the supervision of a member of the department and will involve a public presentation of the main findings. PREREQ: Combined average of a minimum of 75% in SOCI 3005, 3016 and 3126, or permission of the Department Chair. (tut 3) cr 6.
