The institutions and policies of the Criminal Justice System of Canada, that is, the police, courts, prisons and various rehabilitation programs, are the subject matter of the course. Evaluation of programs to reduce crime and rehabilitate offenders receives special attention. Students may not retain credit for both SOCI 2086/7 E & 2085 F.
