This course examines the origin and development of Buddhism in East Asia with emphasis on its doctrines, monastic practices and techniques of meditiation as they evolved, especially in China and Japan. (S) (lec 3) cr 3. Students may not retain credit for both RLST 2277 and RLST 2275.
