Topics include: review of electrostatics and magnetostatics, the vector potential, boundary conditions, Faraday’s law of induction, Maxwell’s equations, reflection and refraction of plane electromagnetic waves from plane boundaries, propagation of electromagnetic waves in rectangular wave-guides, electromagnetic modes in rectangular cavities, and radiation from an oscillating dipole.
