This course will provide students with navigational and rescue skills in remote areas either on land or water. The course teaches self rescue, for example, triangulation, the rescue/evacuation of clients, the use of specialized equipment for land, GPS or moving water, Z pulley systems and Telfa lower. Students are eligible for Level I Swift Water Rescue Technician. PREREQ: min. 150 km of logged canoe tripping, First Aid & CPR certification or school’s permission. (exp 3) cr 1.5
