PHED-2149EL – Wilderness Survival

This course provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary to temporarily live off the land either alone or with a group. The philosophy, physiology and psychology of survival are addressed. Skills like tool making, shelter building, fire lighting, food/water, edible/medicinal plants and snaring, and rescue signals are complemented by basic meteorology and the prevention of environmental injuries and navigation.
