An introduction to the profession of nursing. The philosophy and constructs of the nursing program are examined, and the role of nursing and its evolution in society are explored, as is the relationship between theory, practice and research. Learners are introduced to the process of critical reflections, reflective learning and opportunities are provided for them to experience professional practice (nurse’s work) in a variety of settings.
