MUSC-2126EL – Electronic Music Studio I

A survey of electronic musical technology, which introduces the student to the possibilities available to the performer/composer. MIDI, sequencing, sampling, synthesis and sound processors are among the topics covered. The important role of the computer in the creation of music is also examined, with a look at sequencer programs, soundware editors, librarians, scoring programs, algorithmic composers and new technological developments.
