This is a short intensive course of 6 full days duration to be taken at the end of the Winter term. The course builds on the skills introduced in MIDW 3006 – Advanced Clinical Skills I and will focus on preparing the student for recognising and managing situations where consultation and transfer of care is required. The course will use a combination of pre-readings, short lectures and practical sessions using simulated clinical learning opportunities. The emphasis of the course will be on clinical thinking and care management skills in urgent and emergency situations. PREREQ: MIDW 3006. cr 3
