MATH-4026EL – History of Mathematics

Topics include: early number systems, arithmetic and geometry, classical Greek mathematics, mathematics in the middle ages, the development of analytic geometry, calculus and probability theory, the renaissance of number theory, non-Euclidean geometries and the age of rigor in analysis, logic and set theory.
