LBST-1007EL – Introduction to Labour Studies II

This course is designed to give students an opportunity to understand the political economy of work and the role of organized labour as a transformative force in Canadian society. It offers an introduction to how political and economic perspectives shape the world of work, including the roles of government and business. Through a mix of writing assignments, policy papers, films and literature, students will learn how work relates to the world around them. (lec 3) cr 3. Students may not retain credit for both LBST 1007 and LBST 1005.
