JURI-4716EL – Life and Death Decisions

This course considers the justification for legal intervention in personal beginning and end of life decisions and the competing interests and values involved in such decisions. Topics may include the history of the control of reproduction, abortion, forced medical treatment of pregnant women, modern reproductive technologies, forcing or withholding medical treatment, euthanasia and human biotechnology.
