GERO-4236EL – Aging and Human Physical Activity

This course describes the physical/physiological changes associated with aging. It explores both the effects that physical activity can have on other aging processes and the impact these aging processes can have on health, fitness and the ability to carry out activities of daily living. Assessment of and strategies for age-appropriate physical activity are discussed. PREREQ: GERO 2016/2017 or permission of instructor (lec 3) cr 3. Students may not retain credit for both GERO 4236 and PHED 4236.
