Examines the identification, origin, architecture and stratigraphy of siliciclastic sedimentary facies developed in terrestrial and marine sedimentary environments in a broad range of climatic settings. Includes discussion of stratigraphic methodology, detailed petrographic analysis of clastic sedimentary rocks, and an introduction to the petrography of carbonate rocks.
