GEOG-4236EL – Urban Land Use Planning Theory

The course acquaints the student with the scope of the geographer’s interest in urban planning. While the topics covered concern primarily the spatial principles of urban land use planning, consideration is given to the social, economic, and political elements that shape the environment as well. Seminars and practical exercises are an essential part of the course. (lec 3) cr 3. Students may not retain credit for both GEOG 4236 and GEOG 4816.
