GEOG-4106EL – Applied Geomorphology

Deals with the application of geomorphic principles in environmental planning and management and the practical use of geomorphology for the solution of problems where humans wish to transform landforms or to use and change surficial processes. Particular attention is given to the study of geomorphic processes that affect people, such as floods and landslides, and the utilization of geomorphic agents or products such as water, sand or gravel, as resources.
