GEOG-2027EL – Quantitative Methods in Geography

Examines applications of quantitative methods in the various subfields of geography. It is an extension of GEOG 2026 but focusses on multivariate analysis, including multiple regression, principal components analysis, numerical classification, and discriminant analysis. A selected number of non-statistical, quantitative models are also described. Dept. of Geography computer programs (as well as SPSS) are used throughout the course.
