This course builds on materials topics with an emphasis on manufacturing processes involving metals, polymers and plastics. Topics will include: advantages and limitations of manufacturing processes; relative cost and production rates of competitive processes; computer-integrated manufacturing; automation of manufacturing processes and systems and product design for manufacture.
