This course focuses on writing by women in a period which saw a proliferation of their contributions to and establishment of their place in the literary world. A selection of novels, poetry and short stories by significant women writers such as Eliot, Dickinson and Rossetti may be considered. (sem 3) cr 3. This course may be applied to a concentration in Women’s Studies. Students may not retain credit for both ENGL 3257 and ENGL 3707.
