This course examines the structure of compilers and interpreters, the use of regular expressions, finite automata, and context-free grammars. Other topics include lexical analysis, parsing, symbol table management, interpretation, and code generation. PREREQ: COSC 2006, 3106 & 3127. (lec 3) cr 3.
