COMM-2046EL – Organizational Behaviour Theory

This course provides a basic introduction to concepts and theories explaining individual behaviour, group behaviour and organizational behaviour in organizations. It is designed to develop the students’ appreciation, awareness and knowledge of the human factors in administration. Theory is communicated by means of lectures, seminars, special projects and assigned readings. Topics covered include personality, perceptions, motivation, communication, emotional labour, stree, power, conflict, leadership, team dynamics, team development, organizational culture, organizational structure and organizational change management. PREREQ: COMM 1007 and admission to the core year. (sem 3) cr 3. Students may not retain credit for both COMM 2046 and COMM 2045.
