BIOL-3036EL – Methods in Aquatic Biodiversity Assessment

This course is designed to teach students several methods for assessing fish zooplankton and benthic invertebrate communities. An emphasis will be placed on proper survey and experimental design, field sampling methods, species identification, data management, statisitcal analyses, and report writing. As part of the Ontario Universities Program in Field Biology (OUPFB), this course involves an intensive two week course in the Sudbury area with sampling sites varying from urban industrial sites to remote lakes in wilderness parks (eg Killarney).
